SCORE, the nation’s largest volunteer business counseling service, is a nonprofit association dedicated to help those in business, about to start one, or just thinking about it. Founded in 1964, SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Pottstown SCORE Chapter #594 has served the Tri-County Area since 1991with offices located in The New York Plaza Building at 244 High Street, Pottstown.

Our mission is to provide ongoing and start-up businesses with a trusted source of advice, mentoring and encouragement. Our goal is to aid in the formation, growth and success of a client's business. You'll get straight-from-the-shoulder wisdom that puts you on the right path-- what you should and shouldn't do. You can also keep coming back for help when you need it, as long as you need it.

Score volunteers are business and professional people who give of their time to help others succeed.  Counselors who are either active or retired in their careers offer a wide background of experience.

Counseling sessions often include the discussion of:  Business Start-ups, Business Plans, Capital Sources, Marketing/Sales, Buy/Sell, Human Resources, Record Keeping, and Technology.  Follow-up sessions are typical and are scheduled as needed.

Pottstown SCORE also offers workshops on topics important to entrepreneurs in every stage of their business life.
